Rectora Corner

Greetings! My name is Sharon Crout. I worship at St James Lutheran Church in Sumter, SC. In the spring of 2004, I attended Woman’s VDC #26 where I sat at the table of Ruth.

Now that the intro has been shared let’s discuss why I’m writing this note to you. Yes, you, that very special and loved person. Remember, “God loves you and so do I”.

 

In the spring of 2027, April 28th thru May 3rd at Camp Fellowship to be exact, we will be holding the SCVDC Coed #24 and I will be serving as the Rectora; and I want you by my side. Each of us hold a special place in our hearts for one another. We have all shared so much; fear, humility, prayers, love, songs, food, rain, heat, bugs, tears, hugs, laughter, smiles and friendships. Right now, I’m in the fear & humility stage; can I do this job and why am I doing this job. And then I remember, I’m doing this because He wants me to and with Him all things are possible.

 

Please spend some quiet time with Him asking if He wants you to share in this journey of love, along with me and many of your friends. If so send me your Team Registration or send me a note with your “yes” along with a list of all the positions you have held. I’ll make this information work until our first team meeting, at which time you can finalize your formal Team Registration. I’m praying for each of you!

 

I want to leave you with a verse about how He shares His comfort with us so we can share with others. God bless you and keep you safe. God loves you and so do I!

 

2 Corinthians 3-4   “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
